A few highlights from my journey in fashion.
1989 — My time as Miss Puebla
Becoming Miss Puebla in 1989 was a major first step in my life. These photographs show me during that time. They are part of my personal archive, and I want to share them with you as the beginning of my story.

My beginnings
I began my career as a creative director in Mexico City in 1991. In 1994, I launched my own label, Renatta Pruneda. My collections went on to be sold across eight El Palacio de Hierro stores, bringing my work to a wider audience in Mexico.
Gala, public life & commissions
For five years, I provided gala dresses for Nuestra Belleza / Miss México and Lupita Jones, including state competitions. This was a different chapter from my own experience as Miss Puebla: I was now contributing through my work as a designer and sponsor.
I also designed for the wives of politicians and ambassadors in Mexico City and presented my work regularly for the Association of Diplomatic Ladies. In 1996, I designed for Mexico’s First Lady, Nilda Patricia Velasco de Zedillo, at Los Pinos.

A new chapter in Bavaria
My move to Bavaria, Germany, brought a new chapter. Between 2006 and 2011, I took a professional pause to focus on motherhood. In 2011, I returned to the runway at an international fair, beginning a new stage of my creative life in Europe.

History as inspiration — Imperium Napoleon
History is one of the sources I return to in my work. Imperium Napoleon is one of my collections inspired by it, exploring a dialogue between Napoleon’s imperial power and Josephine’s romantic aesthetic.
I first revealed its inspiration in Monte Carlo and later presented the collection at New York Fashion Week.

Fashion Weeks
I have presented my work at Fashion Weeks in Berlin, New York, Bucharest and Milan, among other cities. Here are a few moments from that journey.

Editorials & press
These images bring together three Vogue publications featuring my work, photographed by Martin Castillo, alongside another editorial image from my archive.

The way I create today
I believe that flexibility is happiness. Ideas are not fixed rules for me; they are material to explore. Technical knowledge gives me the freedom to turn a concept into something tangible, while leaving room for a different interpretation.
Today, based in Germany, I create one-of-a-kind clothing and handmade accessories. SHOP MY RUNWAY is where I bring these pieces together and share my creative world with you.
